I bought this so we could display a large aluminum plaque (for lack of a better word) on our shelves. The plaque is really quite heavy and about 1.5ft x 1.5ft and this light weight stand holds just fine without tipping over. I tapped and poked at it in various places and it held steady, I'm quite pleased.
