Original Toshiba DLP TV Replacement Lamp TB25-LMP - Compatible with Toshiba DLP Projection TVs - High Brightness & Long Lifespan for Home Theater & Office Presentations

We were debating on buying this bulb or a cheaper version. After reading the reviews on this bulb and there were no reviews on the cheaper alternative, we decided not to cheap out. Other reviewers said the brightness level was great on this bulb and they were right! This is our third replacement and the last two always made the seem very dark, no matter what we did with the settings. We were amazed at the brightness level considering the tv is almost 16 years old. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we had to reuse the screws and washers from the old bulb because it wouldn't screw in the housing properly. Overall very happy with this purchase and if we still have the tv when it's time to replace the bulb again, I would definitely repurchase.Price is attractive and that is why we took the chance. We have had this TV for 16 years and have gotten over 2 years, and in some instances 3 years, out of previous lamps, but at higher cost. Cheaper bulb = shorter lifeIt arrived well packaged. But the mounting tab was broken off. I used the original bulb housing for the new bulb. Unsure if it's any better than less expensive bulbs. My last bulb lasted only ones year.Ordered on May 29th and received on June 1 (I am a prime member-2 day shipping). Didn't see any Toshiba emblems on the product but it works and picture looks great. Bulb is completely encased, so next time it breaks I wont have to worry about glass or mercury spillage. Very easy to install. If it holds up like previously ordered Toshiba original replacement bulbs - it will last 2-3 years for me.Shipped on time, the back casing was plastic not metal as pictured. Did not have a plastic burn in this time.Worked okay....This was not the first replacement bulb that I purchased for my 2003 Toshiba 55 inch TV. Never expected them to last forever but to go out essentially 6 1/2 months after purchase. Well.... you can do the math.Great product, it's my second one. Lasts a lot longer and clearer than cheap alternative. Original product works the best. My TVs picture is like brand new.
