I can't deny the set looks fantastic, I was looking for a frame that sits low to the ground and this one almost fits the bill, unfortunately it's not really stated that this has a total of 4 thin wooden slats to hold up your entire bed, so I figured either a third party set of slats or a box spring foundation would be required if you don't want to feel like your mattress is going to fall through the bed. Then I started trying to sleep on it and realized that without a box spring, the mattress, your pillows, and your head are going to gradually slide into the vertical gap between the headboard and your mattress. Why the headboard isn't a full piece is beyond me, there's no reason for this gap to even exist. Then I realized the biggest issue - even with a box spring, with that gap there's nothing stopping the box spring from sliding a couple inches under the headboard and towards the wall. Even with just a mattress there is a 4-6 inch gap at the foot of the bed (again, because there's nothing from stopping the mattress from just sliding out underneath the headboard aside from the wall). A box spring, over time, is going to do the exact same thing and end up causing a space where your leg or arm is going to slide through between the foot of your mattress and the bed frame. All of that is a shame because the set does look great. The drawers of the nightstand and the dresser aren't the most incredible craftsmanship in the world, but this set is relatively affordable and I wasn't really expecting a masterwork. Nothing is functionally wrong with them and they come pre-assembled so all you really need to do is attach some feet and they're good to go.In summary -Pros- The set looks very nice and is true to the shown color.- Drawers in the night stands and dresser are passable, stick slightly when opening/closing if something heavier is in them but overall fine.- Assembly is easy, the bed goes together in 15 minutes and the night stands & dresser just need feet screwed on. Only caveat to this is that the bed frame does not have pre-drilled holes, so spacing these and getting them parallel takes some creativity, especially if you don't have a level and you're not familiar with woodworking.Cons- The bed *needs* a box spring at minimum, you're definitely not going to be able to use the handful of provided slats unless your mattress itself is made of wood. Even third party slats cause issues as there is nothing stopping your pillows, your mattress, and ultimately your head from sliding under the headboard, behind the head of the bed, or into the wall.- There are no pre-drilled holes for the provided slats so even if you choose to use them, spacing them evenly and parallel can be a chore.- While pre-building and pre-packaging everything is great for ease of assembly, the night stands and *especially* the dresser are bulky and will be difficult to get through hallways or doorways. I didn't have to drag anything up any stairs, but that would've been a huge hassle. If you have to, I'd recommend unboxing it first and removing the drawers to lighten it up a bit.Primarily because it's been very frustrating fishing pillows out from behind the bed and under the headboard, I find this extremely hard to recommend. To use this frame you need to drop another $100 minimum on a box spring, but if you bought this set for the sake of it being low to the ground in the first place (like I did) you're out of luck.We were looking for grey furniture to put in our room. We wanted 2 night stands, and this fit the bill. It arrived the Friday before the Monday scheduled delivery, but we were happy to have it early. My 14 year old and I were able to get it upstairs to my room with some effort.....some of the boxes are quite hefty! The dresser came completely assembled (just had to attach the mirror), just had to put feet in the night stands, and that left us with bed assembly. All the directions were clearly labeled, and all hardware was present. We just needed a screwdriver (or drill in our case) for all the screws required for attaching mirror and bed assembly. The screw holes are not predrilled.....which is why we choose a drill. This is labeled as a platform bed, however the slats aren't sufficient in number(only 4 for our king bed) to provide the support of a box spring. We will need to purchase a box spring to go under our mattress. Overall, we love it. I was most impressed by how well it came packaged. Some of the boxes were damaged along the way, but the furniture is in great shape. It's very solid and sturdy. We would definitely buy again.I loveeeeeee this bedroom set! It makes my bedroom look so modern and flashy! I got a lot of compliments! My only concern were the 4 slim slacks. It wouldn’t support my new box spring and the mattress on top. So I decided to buy 4 more thicker and wider slacks from a hardware store so in total, I had 4 slim and 4 wide slacks and it supported the box spring pretty nicely.Loved the look but the bottom drawers of the big dresser did not work they dropped to the floor as soon as we opened it and till today that is how it is but the rest of the dressers are fineGreat for the price. Sturdy bed with a nice look that matches with any bedroom color. Was a bit of work to put together and some of the assembly directions were not clear, but it worked out in the end and looks great! The bed did not come with screws necessary for assembly. They are specialty screw so it was a pain.Seems a little bit cheaper than I wanted but it came already put together.Nicer than expected but had a few scratches
