Since I was unable to find a harp any taller than 9 inches in local retail stores, I ordered this one in the 12 inch size. Disappointed that it is only 11 1/2 inches and does not have a cap. I also ordered a pair of Royal Designs 12" and they are actually almost 14 inches tall. I would recommend getting the Royal Designs brand, which did have caps andcost less than the uxcell.
